Description

You will own the data analysis and governance strategy for derivatives and Securities Financed Transactions (SFT) within a capital markets environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end data flows for derivatives and SFT products to support regulatory reporting and target state adoption.
• Lead gap assessments by documenting current and target state data mappings, identifying critical data elements, and defining quality standards.
• Design systematic solutions to eliminate manual processes, remediate tactical fixes, and implement governance controls.
• Prepare detailed requirement specifications including calculations, data transformations, and aggregation logic.
• Perform functional testing and comprehensive data validations to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of combined experience in banking, financial services, IT, or data controls and governance.
• Deep understanding of Capital Markets, specifically derivative products and Securities Financed Transactions (Repo, Reverse Repo, Securities Lending and Borrowing).
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark for data analysis and management.
• Strong skills in Excel and data visualization for reporting and UX/UI collaboration.
• Experience with data governance, data management, and process mapping.
• Ability to engage with Markets, Risk, Finance, and Tech teams to gather requirements and design solutions.
• Understanding of structured and unstructured databases, data modeling, and rapid development methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI-powered tools like AutoML, GenAI, LLMs, and prompt engineering.
• Knowledge of lineage toolsets and automation utilizing GenAI.
