Description

Lead end-to-end BI solutioning, defining the Tableau Center of Excellence and enterprise reporting architecture.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design interactive dashboards, storyboards, and enterprise-wide Tableau architecture strategies.
• Define visualization standards, data governance practices, and role-based security models including RLS.
• Integrate Tableau with cloud platforms, data lakes, and enterprise data warehouses.
• Optimize data models, automate processes using SQL, and manage Tableau server architecture.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers through code reviews.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of BI/Analytics experience with at least 7 years focused on Tableau (Desktop, Server, Prep) and SQL.
• Expertise in Tableau server administration, including clustering, user management, and backup/recovery planning.
• Deep understanding of authentication mechanisms such as SAML, OAuth, and LDAP/Active Directory integration.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management, including Teradata.
• Advanced knowledge of data modeling using star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience with Git and JIRA within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage SQL code, debug scripts, and optimize data extracts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with REST APIs and Tableau Extensions/JavaScript API.
• Background in the insurance industry.
