Key Responsibilities

Oracle PDH/PLM Solution Architecture

Lead solution architecture and functional design for Oracle Fusion PDH, PLM, Product Management, and related product-information processes.

Design scalable solutions for product/item master management, product structures, classifications, attributes, lifecycle processes, and product governance.

Define enterprise product-data models and governance approaches aligned with business requirements.

Assess existing Oracle landscapes and recommend appropriate target-state architectures.

Ensure solution designs integrate effectively with the broader Oracle Fusion ecosystem and upstream/downstream applications.

Fusion Transformation & Roadmap

Assess current-state business processes and application landscapes and define Oracle Fusion transformation roadmaps.

Conduct discovery workshops, requirement analysis, fit-gap assessments, and solution-definition sessions.

Translate business strategies and operational challenges into actionable Fusion capabilities and implementation roadmaps.

Provide recommendations on solution standardization, configuration, integration, extensibility, and future-state architecture.

Evaluate the impact of Oracle Fusion updates and new capabilities on existing business processes.

Internal Oracle SCM guidance similarly emphasizes business requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, Fusion upgrades/system changes, quarterly Oracle patch impact assessment, and continuous improvement.

Product & Business Process Expertise

Demonstrate strong understanding of product master data and product lifecycle business processes, from product introduction and item creation through change and lifecycle management.

Understand dependencies between product data and downstream SCM processes such as Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, Costing, and Supply Chain operations.

Identify process inefficiencies and recommend best-practice solutions using Oracle Fusion capabilities.

Drive harmonization and standardization of product-related business processes across business units and systems.

The internal Oracle SCM profile specifically calls for understanding of Procurement/P2P, Inventory Management, Manufacturing, Costing, Product Management, Supplier Management, and related SCM processes.

Consulting & Stakeholder Management

Act as a trusted solution advisor to business and IT stakeholders.

Facilitate executive and business workshops to understand strategic objectives, pain points, and transformation priorities.

Convert complex functional and technical topics into clear recommendations for business stakeholders.

Challenge requirements constructively and recommend standard Oracle capabilities wherever appropriate.

Partner with customer architects, business leaders, product owners, implementation teams, and integration teams to drive solution alignment.

Lead solution walkthroughs, architecture reviews, and design discussions.

Integration & Solution Governance

Define integration requirements between PDH/PLM and other Oracle Fusion or enterprise applications.

Provide functional direction for interfaces, APIs, data migration, reporting, and integration requirements.

Collaborate with technical teams working on Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), APIs, OTBI/BIP, and interfaces. These technologies are also referenced in the internal Oracle SCM role profile.

Establish solution-design principles and ensure architectural consistency across workstreams.

Participate in design reviews and ensure solutions remain scalable, maintainable, and aligned with the target architecture
