Description

Bridge business segments and IT by aligning technical solutions with underwriting and operational processes. Own the end-to-end design of insurance systems.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions for underwriting systems, databases, and applications in collaboration with fellow architects.
• Document business requirements, capabilities, workflows, data structures, and logical operations.
• Optimize current state business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Perform economic analysis of proposed solutions and review market analysis from business teams.
• Transition technical knowledge and finalized solutions to project teams.

Required Skills

• 17+ years of experience in solution design and insurance industry practices.
• Deep knowledge of insurance underwriting, rules, processes, and new business application forms.
• Experience designing P&C Insurance use cases using Domain Driven Design, API/Microservices, and Cloud-Native architectures.
• Proficiency with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience designing custom applications using Java, .NET, or Python frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with front-end technologies including React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
• Familiarity with No-SQL, Cognitive search, API Gateway, and integration/ESB.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of COTS platforms for forms management, policy administration, and document management.
