Description

You will validate portfolio management applications, ensuring calculation accuracy and system integrity through functional testing, data reconciliation, and automation.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for portfolio management applications, validating security-level and portfolio-level calculations.
• Perform end-to-end data validation and reconciliation between upstream and downstream systems, identifying discrepancies and conducting root-cause analysis.
• Review business requirements and functional specifications, collaborating with Systems Analysts to clarify calculation logic and documenting defects in JIRA.
• Design and build automated test scripts using Microsoft Power Automate to optimize regression testing frameworks for frequent releases.
• Partner with vendors to troubleshoot complex calculation issues and support business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience testing portfolio management systems (e.g., Client RBroker, CGI Wealth 360, Charles River).
• Hands-on experience validating financial calculations and understanding investment products (equities, fixed income, ETFs, mutual funds).
• Strong knowledge of portfolio accounting concepts including holdings, transactions, valuations, pricing, and cash flows.
• Experience with automation tools such as Robot Framework, Accelq, or Microsoft Power Automate.
• Proficiency with JIRA for defect tracking and documentation.
• Solid understanding of performance and risk measurement concepts.
• Strong analytical thinking with attention to numeric accuracy and financial logic.

Preferred Skills

• Experience collaborating with Systems Analysts on system architecture and design discussions.
• Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem tools beyond Power Automate.
