Description

You will lead business analysis activities for AML initiatives, including sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, risk scoring, and case management. You will define future-state enhancements by analyzing current workflows and identifying pain points.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, document, and manage complex business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.
• Create user stories and acceptance criteria within a SAFe Agile environment, participating in PI Planning and sprint reviews.
• Perform gap analysis between current capabilities and regulatory expectations, proposing actionable solutions.
• Utilize SQL for data extraction, validation, and investigation of AML alerts or cases.
• Support testing by clarifying requirements and validating outcomes against compliance standards.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst within the AML/Financial Crime domain.
• Strong working knowledge of AML processes: screening, real-time transaction monitoring, alert adjudication, lookback exercises, and SAR/STR.
• Experience defining lookback scope, sampling criteria, and execution methodology.
• Proficiency in Agile delivery models, with preference for candidates experienced in SAFe Agile.
• Demonstrated experience with data analysis, including writing and executing SQL queries.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with AML platforms such as Nice-actimize, Feedzai, SAS AML, Oracle, FICO Tonbeller, Symphony, or LexisNexis.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with AML lookback reviews, including historical transaction deep-dives and rules management.
• CAMS certification or equivalent AML compliance credentials.
• Understanding of Canadian regulatory frameworks (FINTRAC, OSFI guidelines).
