Description

You refine the ABAP programming language by integrating advanced computing techniques and optimizing the language environment. You own the intersection of compiler design, virtual machine internals, and language semantics.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with compiler and virtual machine teams to enhance ABAP through industry trend analysis.
• Develop customized solutions for specific programming use cases to ensure code robustness and performance optimization.
• Identify opportunities for language enhancement and error detection within the ABAP ecosystem.
• Provide technical guidance to developers integrating advanced ABAP features into their workflows.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Rust.
• Hands-on experience with ABAP and SAP environments.
• Strong understanding of programming languages and compiler design.
• Ability to apply advanced computing solutions to programming paradigms.
• Fluency in both German and English.

Preferred Skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
