Description

You will install, terminate, and test fiber optic and copper cabling infrastructure for data centers and enterprise networks.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Mount and install racks, patch panels, and hardware components.
• Terminate indoor tight-buffered multimode and single-mode fiber using LC, SC, ST, FC, FDDI, SMA, and MPO/MTP connectors.
• Perform continuity tests on horizontal and riser cable using a volt-ohmmeter and tone set.
• Troubleshoot opens, crosses, shorts, and transpose pairs.
• Calculate end-to-end loss budgets in accordance with TIA/EIA standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cable installation and termination.
• Proficiency with both multi-mode and single-mode fiber technologies.
• Basic copper termination skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot horizontal and riser cable issues effectively.
• Knowledge of TIA standards for loss budget calculations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with large-scale data center cabling projects.
