Description

You design and develop accessory systems and components within a CAD environment, managing multiple projects from concept to release.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate CAD models against CAE, design rules, regulatory items, NVH, and water management attributes.
• Collaborate with program engineers to refine functional characteristics of vehicle components and features.
• Lead technical meetings with suppliers, designers, and manufacturing teams to ensure project delivery.
• Balance technical tradeoffs including cost, weight, and timing while resolving complex technical issues.
• Present design updates and technical data to stakeholders across program teams, marketing, and manufacturing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in the design and release of functional components and systems integration.
• Proficiency with TCE, CATIA, WERS, and Vis Mockup.
• Working knowledge of Ford Systems: CAD structures, TcE Study Files, CAD Release, WERS, and GPDS.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, DFM, DFMEA, DVP, Six Sigma, and Variation Analysis.
• Experience with automotive part engineering and systems integration.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline or CAD Design.
