Description

Manage and architect high-volume, high-transaction data systems using NoSQL and relational platforms, with a focus on Cassandra administration and system stability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer high-volume, high-transaction NoSQL databases, specifically Cassandra.
• Design and architect data systems across multiple data platforms.
• Perform database monitoring and performance tuning to ensure system stability.
• Manage asynchronous message processing, stream processing, and event-driven computing workflows.
• Lead, coach, and mentor engineers, developers, and other DBAs.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Database, Data Management, or Engineering roles.
• 6+ years of experience in high-volume/high-transaction data administration.
• 6+ years of experience managing NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.
• 4+ years of experience in performance tuning and database monitoring.
• 4+ years of experience in architecture and design of data systems.
• 4+ years of experience in a leadership, coaching, or mentoring capacity.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux command line.
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or Kanban development teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MongoDB, Kafka, MQ, Rabbit, Redis, Hazelcast, SOLR, ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
