Description

You will manage, optimize, and secure the Cassandra database infrastructure.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Take requirements from the audit team and update database configurations accordingly.
• Configure and enable SSL and LDAP, and set up observability/monitoring alerts using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Perform performance tuning, backup/recovery procedures, and general database troubleshooting.
• Identify platform gaps in Cassandra and provide technical recommendations for solutions.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience.
• Expertise in Cassandra database management and optimization.
• Proficiency with Ansible and AWX for operational pipelines.
• Knowledge of Jenkins pipelines for automation.
• Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Ability to troubleshoot and tune database performance.

Preferred Skills

• Cassandra development experience.
• GitLab CI knowledge.
• Financial services experience, especially with audits.
