Description

You will manage and optimize large-scale DataStax and Apache Cassandra clusters in production environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain DataStax and Apache Cassandra clusters across multiple environments.
• Monitor cluster performance, manage capacity planning, and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement data replication, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Design scalable data models and schemas in collaboration with development teams.
• Set up monitoring tools, dashboards, and alerts to track cluster health and utilization.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Cassandra Administrator supporting large production environments.
• Deep knowledge of DataStax and Apache Cassandra architecture and administration.
• Expertise in Cassandra cluster setup, configuration, and monitoring.
• Proficiency in Cassandra data modeling, schema design, and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and high availability principles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, EBS, EFS, IAM, Lifecycle Manager, and Network Load Balancers.
• Proficiency in scripting languages for automation and monitoring tasks.
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and infrastructure monitoring.

Preferred Skills

• AWS certification.
