Description

You will manage and maintain Couchbase and Cassandra database clusters across production and non-production environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, configure, and monitor Couchbase and Cassandra clusters.
• Manage Couchbase buckets, document loading, sizing, backups, and recovery processes.
• Execute Cassandra cluster expansion activities and use OpsCenter for repairs and node synchronization.
• Establish best practices for cluster configuration, health monitoring, and backup procedures.
• Diagnose production issues and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for emergency troubleshooting.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of database administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with Cassandra and Couchbase.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Shell scripting and Ansible.
• Knowledge of SQL and MongoDB.
• Experience managing high availability and failover capabilities.
• Ability to perform cluster sizing and maintenance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with OpsCenter for Cassandra management.
