Description

You will serve as the Cassandra subject matter expert, guiding database architecture and automation strategies.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies with application development teams.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, query/schema optimizations, and fine-tuning of back-end databases.
• Execute advanced system monitoring, preventive maintenance, and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Own database and server infrastructure, proposing platform enhancements and driving maturity through Infrastructure as Code.
• Create and turnover operations runbooks to IT Operations teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• 3+ years of direct experience working with Cassandra.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in writing shell scripts and scripting languages.
• Experience with Ansible.
• Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows system administration.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, PowerShell, Terraform, and MySQL.
• Any Graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Good written and spoken English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Helm and IaC or CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Octopus, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of Clickhouse, Redis, Elastic, SQL Server, Oracle, or VMware.
