Description
You will provide technical support and perform radiological procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing diagnostic fluoroscopic angiographic procedures, coronary and peripheral interventions, and Electrophysiology procedures.
- Monitor patient condition pre- and post-procedure, reporting changes to the physician or RN.
- Operate equipment according to procedure protocols and assist physicians during all Cath Lab procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and pull contrast media as required.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, manage laboratory supplies, and implement Q.I. programs.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
- ARRT registration with CI credentials, OR RCIS, OR RCES (CCI), OR CEPS (IBHRE).
- For CVT graduates: RCIS, RCES (CCI), or CEPS (IBHRE) credentials.
- BLS AHA certification.
- Proficiency in CRT and Fluoroscopy.
- Graduate of a CAHEP accredited CVT program or completion of a 2-year AMA-approved Radiologic Technology training program.
- Knowledge of sterile technique and emergency CPR measures.
