Description

Manage the installation, maintenance, and automation of CATIA V4 environments on AIX workstations.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain CATIA V4 software on AIX workstations, coordinating with Dassault support for licensed features.
• Develop automation scripts and macros using the CATIA V4 API to process data, repair corrupt models, and improve export quality.
• Write scripts to facilitate data movement between Windows and AIX systems, ensuring integrity during migration to V5.
• Analyze V4 models to resolve data issues through manual editing or repair scripts, handling ITAR data compliance.
• Mentor conversion team members on V4 technical issues and troubleshoot license servers and network problems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with CATIA V4 model creation, analysis, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in CATIA V4 software on AIX workstations via remote desktop access.
• Extensive experience in CATIA V4 installation and license management (LUM) using license codes.
• Deep understanding of V4 assembly representations, including sessions, overlays, details/dittoes, and copy/paste.
• Expertise in surface and curve modeling techniques and mathematical representations.
• Experience developing software scripts and macros using CATIA V4 API capabilities.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot license servers, network issues, and hardware on AIX.
• Experience migrating data to V5, including managing ditto/solid migrations, reports, and error resolution.
• Experience handling ITAR data.

Preferred Skills

• Experience coordinating with IT teams to manage remote desktop access and tools.
