Description

You will lead the technical migration of enterprise applications from legacy Solaris 10 environments to RHEL 9.4.

Responsibilities

• Lead the re-platforming effort from Solaris 10 to RHEL 9.4 to ensure compatibility and performance.
• Manage the programming language upgrade from C to C++20, leveraging modern language features.
• Implement performance optimizations to improve response times and application throughput.
• Integrate modern development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, into the deployment process.
• Document architectural changes, system configurations, and operational procedures for internal teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in application modernization projects focused on C/C++ enterprise applications.
• Deep expertise in C and C++ programming, specifically migrating from older C to C++20.
• Proven experience migrating applications from Solaris to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Strong knowledge of RHEL system administration, including configuration, networking, and security.
• Solid understanding of the Solaris operating system.
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash or Korn Shell.
• Experience implementing modern development practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues during migration.
• Any Graduate degree.
