Description

You manage CDN configurations and web security protocols to ensure optimal traffic delivery and origin protection.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Configure Akamai cache rules to define specific caching behaviors for web content.
• Develop and implement WAF rules, rate limiting, and mitigation strategies against common web attacks using Luna/ATT center.
• Troubleshoot web traffic issues including HTTP status codes, caching discrepancies, and routing errors.
• Consult with customers to integrate websites with CDN technologies for improved performance and scalability.
• Map and explain the full lifecycle of an HTTP request from the browser to the web origin.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in CDN management and web traffic optimization.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, and SSL protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Akamai, WAF rule creation, and rate limiting.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, JSON, XML, and Java.
• Experience using Postman and working with REST APIs and API acceleration.
• Technical knowledge of proxies, load balancers, and cache management.
• Experience managing traffic routing to gateways, microservices, or monolith origins.
• Strong technical communication skills for customer-facing consultation and presentations.
