Description

You will build and maintain software solutions using a craftsman-like engineering approach within an Agile environment. You own the delivery of high-quality code through collaborative practices including code review, pairing, and unit testing. You apply Test-Driven Development to write simple, adaptive, and iterative code. You collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, Traders, and other engineering teams. You improve engineering processes and instill excellence across the development lifecycle. You utilize DevOps culture and continuous integration to deploy reliable solutions.

• Improve engineering processes and instill excellence across the development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• Expert knowledge in one or more programming languages: C#, Python, or Java.
• Proficiency on Linux platforms and various scripting languages.
• In-depth knowledge of design patterns and programming styles such as OO and functional.
• Experience building containerized applications and deploying to public or private clouds (AWS or Azure).
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, ECS clusters, and Step Functions.
• Strong knowledge of database technologies such as SQL Server, Sybase, DynamoDB, or Postgres.
• Degree with high mathematical and computing content in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Physics.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Order Management and Charles River products or Charles River upgrades.
• Front office software development experience at an Asset Manager, Hedge Fund, or Investment Bank.
