Description

You will manage and automate infrastructure configuration using Chef within an OpenStack environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Chef to automate configuration management tasks.
• Develop and update cookbooks to ensure compatibility across multiple environments.
• Troubleshoot chef-client issues during deployment processes.
• Create and manage nodes using the chef node database to drive host configuration, DNS zones, and monitoring.
• Verify code changes locally and on cloud instances using Test Kitchen.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure automation or DevOps roles.
• Hands-on experience with Chef Automation and Chef Pipelines.
• Direct experience working with Chef 12 and Chef 16 versions.
• Proficiency in writing and maintaining Chef recipes and cookbooks.
• Experience using Test Kitchen for local and cloud instance verification.
• Practical knowledge of configuration management and monitoring.
• Experience managing infrastructure within an OpenStack environment.
• Degree in any graduate field.
