Description

You will design and implement large-scale infrastructure using Chef and Terraform across AWS environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support Chef Cookbooks, Vaults, Roles, Environments, and Runlists.
• Design, implement, and support Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot Chef Client on RHEL and Windows environments, managing deployments and resolving incidents.
• Architect infrastructure using Terraform, including module creation, maps, remote states, and importing existing infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of overall cloud experience with at least 7 years focused on AWS.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform.
• Extensive AWS experience including IAM policies, roles, permissions, and services beyond EC2 and S3.
• Expertise in Git, including branching, merging, squash, pull requests, and roll-backs.
• Proficiency in Ruby, Python, Shell scripting, and PowerShell.
• Experience with Chef, InSpec, and Test Kitchen.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Experience consuming and connecting to APIs within a microservices architecture.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows Server. Experience with GitHub, Ansible, ServiceNow, and JIRA.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Repos, and integrating Azure DevOps to AWS via Terraform.
• Experience with GCP.
