Description

Manage and support CICS and MQ administration within a mainframe environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support CICS and MQ systems, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Perform z/OS debugging, problem analysis, and system maintenance to ensure subsystem availability.
• Manage MQ objects and Queue Managers, execute backups, and handle message deletions for authorized teams.
• Monitor system health by resetting channels and managing MQ subsystem starts and stops.
• Collect and publish monthly usage statistics for MQ Queue Managers, objects, and messages.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of experience in z/OS systems installation and configuration.
• Deep knowledge of CICS Administration.
• Extensive experience with IBM MQSeries on z/OS.
• Proven ability in z/OS debugging and problem analysis.
• Experience managing MQ objects, Queue Managers, and subsystem availability.
• Proficiency in Mainframe AMS administration.
• Ability to manage MQ subsystem lifecycle, including starts, stops, and channel resets.

Preferred Skills

• Any Graduate degree.
