Description

You will serve as the technical lead for upgrading the Cisco Unified Communication Platform from version 11.5 to R14.5. You will own the end-to-end deployment, validation, and security hardening of the voice infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead system deployment of VOIP upgrades, including ISO installation and migrating servers from M4 to M6 hardware via PCD.
• Upgrade Publisher and Subscriber nodes, Unity, and associated Cisco servers.
• Execute cluster-wide Readiness Upgrade task flows and run Precheck COP files to ensure stability.
• Test and validate the system while identifying and implementing enhanced security functionality.
• Provide post-deployment operational support, system documentation, and training for the team.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience designing, installing, and configuring large-scale voice communications hardware and software.
• CCNA certification is required.
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, QSIG, SIP, H323, MGCP, and SCCP voice topologies.
• Experience configuring voice gateways with dial peers, SRST, SIP, H323, and MGCP.
• Proficiency in working within VMware virtual environments.
• Strong understanding of firewall policies, stateful connections, and network security protocols.
• Knowledge of VOIP encryption using SIP over TLS and SRTP.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for complex telephony environments.

Preferred Skills

• CCNP certification.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, SOX, GLBA, or PCI compliance guidelines.
