Description

You will support the preparation of engineering designs, studies, and reports for multimodal transportation infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering design efforts, including preparing designs, studies, reports, and verifying project compliance.
• Develop engineering design details, specifications, contract drawings, and estimates.
• Participate in presentations, field inspections, and research as needed.
• Assist with training and mentoring junior staff.
• Stay current on roadway design trends and methodologies to ensure high-quality project delivery.

Required Skills

• Roadway design expertise.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum of 5 years of highway design experience.
• Proficiency with MicroStation CADD software for plans, profiles, cross-sections, and quantity take-offs.
• Experience with VDOT or other Virginia localities.
• Experience with Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and developing 3D engineered models.
