Manage civil site preparation and construction activities for commercial or retail projects in Buffalo, NY.

Responsibilities

• Own civil site preparation including land clearing, earthwork, site improvements, and building layout.
• Coordinate field activities with subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to budget and schedule.
• Study contract drawings and specifications to identify and resolve discrepancies or omissions.
• Supervise grading, drainage, paving, and utility layouts, including inspections for conflicts with gas, water, electrical, and septic systems.
• Manage material and equipment orders to maintain just-in-time inventory and review subcontractor T&M sheets daily.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in the construction industry as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or in Civil Site Project Development.
• Background in site construction management within commercial or retail sectors.
• Experience managing subcontractors, labor, equipment, and material suppliers.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, contract scopes of work, and technical specifications.
• Proven ability to coordinate utility services with company representatives on-site.
• Project Management expertise.
• Active driver's license.
• Any graduate degree.
