Description

You own the end-to-end design, architecture, and sustenance of core systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud adoption plans and design overall architecture using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Oversee application migration to the cloud, ensuring successful deployment and integration.
• Architect and build core backend services for data ingestion, APIs, and real-time event processing.
• Lead architecture discussions, perform design reviews, and mentor engineers on backend best practices.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security, optimizing resource use.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of backend engineering experience, including at least 3 years in architectural leadership.
• Deep expertise in microservice architecture, RESTful API design, and asynchronous/event-driven systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Experience architecting data-intensive SaaS platforms using Firestore, MongoDB, and Neo4j.
• Proven experience building multi-tenant, secure systems with OAuth2, JWT, RBAC, and audit logging.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures: Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and infrastructure automation using Terraform, Cloud Build, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with event-streaming systems like Pub/Sub or Kafka for telemetry processing.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security compliance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SonarQube and CodeQL for code quality and security analysis.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and gRPC for service communication.
