Description

You will design, develop, and modify specialized utility programs and cloud-based software applications. You will use OpenStack, Linux, KVM, Ansible, and Ceph to resolve complex architecture issues and coordinate with users to define requirements. Your work will focus on optimizing operational efficiency through software customization and implementation. You will work under supervision, with travel to unanticipated client sites required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify general computer applications and specialized utility programs.
• Implement and develop OpenStack and cloud-based software applications.
• Design or customize software for client use to optimize operational efficiency.
• Make decisions on complex or ambiguous architecture issues using OpenStack, Linux, KVM, Ansible, and Ceph.
• Coordinate with users to determine and clarify requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development or cloud architecture.
• Deep expertise with OpenStack and cloud-based technologies.
• Proficiency in Linux and KVM virtualization.
• Experience with Ansible for configuration management or automation.
• Knowledge of Ceph storage solutions.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience coordinating with end-users to define technical requirements.
