Description

Design and manage AWS solutions for ITS and various agencies.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS architectures meeting performance, security, and scalability requirements.
• Manage the existing AWS Organization and ensure adherence to industry best practices and compliance.
• Lead troubleshooting for complex AWS issues, specifically network connectivity, storage, and compute.
• Coordinate with security teams to implement IAM policies, encryption, network segmentation, and SCPs.
• Mentor staff through knowledge transfer, training, and creation of technical documentation and playbooks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and environment management.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
• Experience leading cloud migrations or implementations in complex multi-account environments.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Strong network troubleshooting skills for cloud-to-on-premises connectivity.
• Familiarity with AWS Landing Zone and AWS Landing Zone Accelerator.
• Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker, ECS, or EKS.
• Experience with serverless architectures and DevOps principles/CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing vendor relationships with AWS and third-party providers.
