Description

Design and operate AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps workflows for containerized and traditional workloads.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Configure and tune AWS Elastic Beanstalk, EKS, and EC2 environments across Dev, Test, and Prod, including scaling, patching, and deployment strategies.
• Design VPC networking, IAM policies, and security groups following least-privilege principles, and partner with DBAs on RDS SQL Server and PostgreSQL setup.
• Build Azure DevOps pipelines tailored to migration patterns (EB, EKS, EC2, in-place) and implement GitOps using ArgoCD or Flux for EKS workloads.
• Establish promotion strategies with gates and approvals, standardize pipeline templates for self-onboarding, and integrate security scanning (Trivy, SAST/DAST) into CI/CD.
• Configure CloudWatch observability, define SLOs, and produce architecture decision records and runbooks for long-term operations support.

Required Skills

• 6+ years hands-on experience building and operating production workloads on AWS, including Elastic Beanstalk, EKS, EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, and Secrets Manager.
• 3+ years with Kubernetes (EKS preferred), including Helm, kubectl, ingress, HPA, and troubleshooting pods and networking.
• Production experience with ArgoCD or Flux, including app-of-apps structures, multi-environment promotion, and resolving GitOps drift.
• Strong Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML) experience, including build/release pipelines, variable groups, and service connections.
• Infrastructure-as-Code in production using Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation/CDK.
• Solid Docker skills, including multi-stage builds, image hardening, and ECR management.
• Linux administration (RHEL/Amazon Linux/Ubuntu) and shell scripting (bash).
• Proficiency with Git, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code review disciplines.

Preferred Skills

• Equivalent strong experience in GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins if Azure DevOps can be learned quickly.
• Experience with container scanning tools like Trivy and ECR scan integration.
