Description

Drive evidence-based cloud optimization by bridging business, engineering, and finance teams to own cost and resource usage as primary performance metrics.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Optimize cloud spend through rightsizing, workload management, removing unused resources, and selecting appropriate resource locations.
• Establish cloud cost management best practices, benchmarks, and transparency across the organization.
• Monitor for spending anomalies and inform cloud budgets and forecasting.
• Implement and maintain tagging strategies, cloud policies, and governance frameworks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cloud environments with deep technical expertise in Azure.
• Working knowledge of AWS.
• Proficiency in the FinOps Framework principles and capabilities.
• Experience with anomaly management and workload optimization.
• Ability to perform rate optimization and unit economics analysis.
• Knowledge of cloud sustainability and data ingestion.
• Experience with cloud policy, governance, and licensing/SaaS understanding.
• Skills in forecasting, planning, and budget allocation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience driving cultural change in engineering teams.
