Description

You will architect and secure AWS compute infrastructure, focusing on Linux OS hardening, base image creation, and automated provisioning.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS compute solutions, ensuring strict adherence to security and compliance standards in a regulated industry.
• Build and maintain OS base images using AWS Image Builder or equivalent tools, integrating patch management and hardening.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible, Terraform, and BASH shell scripting.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, CVE remediation, vulnerability scanning, and change management processes via SNOW.
• Troubleshoot complex Linux OS issues, including filesystem, networking, and package management.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering or enterprise architecture.
• Deep expertise in Linux OS internals, filesystems, package/patch management, and OS hardening.
• Proven experience architecting solutions on AWS, specifically focused on compute resources.
• Hands-on proficiency with Ansible, Terraform, Git, and AWS CLI/SDK (boto3).
• Strong scripting skills in Python and BASH shell.
• Proficiency in JSON and YAML for configuration and infrastructure definitions.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows, vulnerability scanning tools, and Artifactory.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in regulated industries with a focus on security and compliance.
• Familiarity with SNOW/Change management processes.
