Description

You will own the strategy and execution for cloud cost management within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of Cloud FinOps capabilities and best practices for cloud cost management.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on cloud spend across multiple vendors.
• Develop scripts and workflows to automate data collection and reporting using Python and SQL.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through usage analysis, rightsizing, and purchasing strategies.
• Manage vendor commercial incentives, including Reserved Instances and Savings Plans.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in financial analysis or working with large datasets and creating data-driven executive materials.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure and public cloud concepts.
• Database experience with Structured, Unstructured, and Column databases.
• Experience with Agile development methodology and CI/CD.
• Experience with SDLC tools such as Jira, GitHub, and Bitbucket.
• Experience with public cloud cost management mechanics and tools (native or 3rd party).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in working with large datasets.
• Understanding of cloud billing processes and procedures.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Python and Java for automation.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools like Snowflake or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with API design using Swagger.
