Description

Engineer data solutions for large-scale modernization and migration initiatives, focusing on SAS modernization and cloud adoption.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Migrate legacy SAS systems to modern big data and cloud environments.
• Design and implement PySpark and Spark SQL solutions for large-scale data processing.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to define migration strategies across Hadoop and Cloud ecosystems.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and performance optimization in transformed environments.
• Act as a technical developer throughout project delivery.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with PySpark and Spark SQL for distributed data processing.
• Knowledge of Hadoop and related big data components.
• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically GCP (BigQuery) or Azure (Databricks).
• Familiarity with Spark SQL and PySpark development.
• Problem-solving and leadership skills to drive end-to-end project execution.
• Experience with SAS to modern data stack migration projects is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills

• Proven track record in SAS modernization projects.
