Description

You design, build, and maintain scalable cloud data infrastructure and pipelines.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable data storage solutions in AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Python, Java, or Scala for large dataset ingestion and transformation.
• Automate data workflows and code promotions using GitHub Actions and cloud-native tools.
• Monitor system performance via CloudWatch, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and optimize data retrieval and APIs.
• Ensure data governance, security compliance, and integrity through encryption, access controls, and quality checks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related infrastructure roles.
• Proficiency with AWS (including Kubernetes), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience building data pipelines and working with data lakes, warehouses, and S3.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD and code asset promotions.
• Solid understanding of SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with data security best practices, compliance regulations, and disaster recovery strategies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data lineage, metadata cataloging, and data flow diagramming.
• Ability to collaborate with architects and analysts on data modeling and reporting needs.
