Description

You provide 24/7 operational support and engineering for a cloud-based data platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and support Azure Data Factory pipelines and data ingestion into Azure Data Lake Gen2.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Azure Databricks notebooks and Spark.
• Manage code promotion and release creation using Azure DevOps.
• Analyze and resolve production application issues in accordance with engagement SLAs.
• Support legacy code to maintain application stability in changing environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data platform support or engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Spark.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle, including database design, table/view creation, and query performance tuning.
• Deep understanding of Azure Data Lake design, debugging, and integration.
• Experience with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehouses.
• Advanced Power BI development and report design skills.
• Solid grasp of general ETL processes, data modeling, and data structures.
• Ability to work within a 24/7 operational support rotation.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with service-oriented architecture such as WebMethods.
• Experience with job scheduling and batch automation tools like Automic.
• Familiarity with FTP tools such as FileZilla.
