Description

You will own and operate AWS-native database platforms, focusing on automation, resilience, observability, and cost optimization.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Automate provisioning, configuration, patching, and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code.
• Implement end-to-end monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar tools.
• Define SLIs/SLOs, operational metrics, and runbooks for cloud databases.
• Participate in on-call rotation and lead cloud database incident response.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in database administration or engineering.
• Expertise with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.
• Proficiency with AWS services.
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, Bash, and SQL.
• Cloud-first mindset blending database engineering and platform reliability.
