You manage, develop, and maintain databases on cloud-native platforms.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Administer, develop, and maintain databases on AWS and GCP cloud-native platforms.
• Design and implement new database schemas, including backup, recovery, and configuration management.
• Utilize infrastructure as code and automation scripting to streamline database operations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure optimal database performance and reliability in high-volume, real-time environments.
• Modify procedures and documentation for problem resolution and daily maintenance.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, Data Engineer, or Data Architect.
• Expertise in AWS Redshift and Google BigQuery.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native services on AWS and GCP.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Data Modeling and Infrastructure as Code.
• Proven track record in high-volume data environments with real-time data needs.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with continuous integration/deployment pipelines for database changes.
