Key ResponsibilitiesProvisioning amp Configuration Setting up and scaling database instances, managing storage, andconfiguring high availability HA and disaster recovery DR solutions e.g., replicationPerformance Monitoring amp Tuning Proactively monitoring CPU storage and network usage to ensureperformance using native tools for optimizationSecurity amp Compliance Implementing data encryption, managing access controls (Identity and AccessManagement and ensuring compliance with regulations like GDPR or HIPAA.Automation: Using scripting (SQL, Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate routinemaintenance and deploymentsQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Requirements include:Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in Azure Cloud, Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).Database Expertise: Core oracle DBA with CDB and pdbmigration expertise,Goldengate Service on cloud,including tuning and troubleshooting. Experience on on-permises database and standby expertiseDevOps Tools Familiarity with CI/CD tools Terraform and CLI scriptingNetworking Understanding of VPCs security groups VPNs and firewallsEvolution of the RoleBachelors degree in Computer Science or related field3 5 years of database administrator experience.A good knowledge and experience working with Oracle or SQL Server is requiredExperience with Operating System commands and scriptingA good knowledge of physical database design is preferredAbility to proactively perform both Oracle SQL Server and operating system performance monitoringExcellent knowledge of Database backup Oracle SQL Server and recovery scenariosGood skills in various Database monitoring toolsExperience with Cross Database Replication(Eg. Golden Gate product is preferredA good understanding of Database security managementA good knowledge of how the database acquires and manages resourcesA sound knowledge of performing database query optimizationSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNo supervisory responsibilityBUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIESNo budgetary responsibilityWORK ENVIRONMENTMinimal travel/overnight travel may be requiredNoise level in the typical work environment is moderate due to the number of staff in business office area andstaff/patients equipment in patient care areas
