Description

You will design and build automated systems for database operations, data collection, and CI/CD integration.

Since is_remote, hybrid, and on_site are all 0, no work-mode line is added.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated solutions for daily database operations and data collection.
• Build frameworks for version control, continuous integration, automated testing, and data remediation.
• Integrate database automation into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps and software engineering teams.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, scalability, and reliability using automation.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in database administration, automation, or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or CosmosDB.
• Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
• Strong understanding of database design, including normalization, indexing, and key relationships.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to obtain or currently possess Canadian Protected B security clearance (requires five years of Canadian residency).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with APIs or the FastAPI framework.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
