Description

You will design, implement, and manage cloud-native database solutions to ensure high availability, security, and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage highly available, scalable databases using Oracle and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Develop and maintain database schemas, indexes, and views to support application requirements.
• Use Terraform to define, deploy, and manage infrastructure as code for consistent database provisioning.
• Write Python scripts to automate routine tasks including backups, scaling, data migration, and recovery.
• Monitor database performance, optimize query efficiency, and implement alerting for database environments.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in database engineering or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Oracle and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Strong Python scripting abilities for automation and integration tasks.
• Experience with AWS cloud environments.
• Knowledge of database security best practices and high availability setups.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and version control tools.
• Familiarity with IaaS and Ansible.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Cloud platform certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with additional automation tools or programming languages.
