Description

You will maintain and support two Postgres-centric enterprise data platforms within an agile environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support enterprise Postgres-centric data platforms.
• Develop, monitor, and tune AWS RDS Postgres or Aurora Postgres instances.
• Write Python code and shell scripts to invoke SQL and Python processes.
• Implement Jenkins job pipelines for automated workflows.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with AWS RDS Postgres or Aurora Postgres.
• Professional Python development experience, including use of boto3.
• Proficiency in SQL and Spark SQL.
• Experience with Unix shell scripting and SFTP.
• Hands-on experience with AWS RDS and AWS DMS.
• Working knowledge of Git for version control.
• Experience with Linux, Unix, or Windows operating systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS Lambda, ECS/Fargate, EC2, or S3.
• Knowledge of Spark SQL and various versioning tools like Bitbucket or SVN.
