Design and maintain resilient database platforms on Kubernetes and OpenShift within hybrid cloud environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain databases on containers within Kubernetes or OpenShift platforms.
• Implement highly resilient, secure, scalable, and performant architectures in hybrid cloud environments.
• Manage vulnerability remediation and design automated patching strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready infrastructure platforms.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and operational best practices.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with databases such as Oracle/Exadata, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, Redis, or DB2.
• Knowledge of managing databases on containers, including scheduling, networking, storage, and secrets management.
• Experience operating infrastructure services and database workloads in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and automated deployment approaches.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments with a focus on security, reliability, and compliance.
• 5+ years of professional experience in infrastructure or database engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automated patching strategies for database workloads.
• Background in security and compliance within enterprise cloud environments.
