Description

You will manage Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases across development, test, and production environments in AWS and Azure. You will own the migration of Oracle databases from on-premises environments to the AWS cloud.

Responsibilities

• Manage application schema, design, and extensions for large Oracle databases on Linux.
• Perform database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and configuration management.
• Execute data archiving, data extracts, and data masking or de-identification processes.
• Support continuous integration and deployment of data solutions using DevOps practices.
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend work to resolve database-related incidents.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Direct experience with AWS services including EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, and S3.
• Proven track record of large-scale data migrations from on-prem to AWS.
• Proficiency in Oracle tools including Data Guard, RMAN, and Golden Gate.
• Experience with Linux shell scripting, Perl, Python, or YAML.
• Knowledge of replication in multi-data-center environments for disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with deploying J2EE applications in Tomcat, JBOSS, or Oracle Application Server.
• Working knowledge of ITIL processes for incident and change management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting ActiveBatch enterprise scheduling systems.
• Experience with Azure cloud environments.
