Description

The Cloud DevOps Engineer will provide advanced engineering, cloud support, automation, and troubleshooting services while collaborating with development, security, and infrastructure teams to design and maintain secure, scalable, and highly automated solutions supporting mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide infrastructure, engineering, cloud, and operational support for cloud-hosted applications.
• Support and maintain environments operating on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Use Terraform and/or Ansible to configure, provision, and automate cloud infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments.
• Collaborate with application development teams to design, develop, and maintain CI/CD automation workflows.
• Automate provisioning and configuration of application environments across development, testing, staging, and production.
• Design and implement automated application build, packaging, deployment, and release processes.
• Implement performance monitoring, establish system baselines, and configure proactive alerting.
• Troubleshoot production, infrastructure, and application issues to minimize service disruption and user impact.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement durable solutions for recurring technical issues.
• Continuously improve automation, infrastructure architecture, reliability, maintainability, and security.
• Apply and reinforce security best practices across cloud and enterprise environments.
• Provide system-level support for credential management technologies, including Intercede MyID and HID solutions.
• Troubleshoot and configure drivers, middleware, smart cards, authentication devices, and related software components.
• Support and maintain Windows Server environments.
• Perform database administration and support activities associated with credential management and authentication systems.
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of cross-functional engineering and delivery teams.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant IT or engineering experience, including at least 1–2 years of cloud support experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with credential management systems, including Intercede MyID, HID solutions, PKI infrastructure, and certificate lifecycle management platforms.
• Proven experience troubleshooting drivers, middleware, credentialing software, authentication technologies, and related components.
• Experience supporting and engineering Microsoft Windows environments, including Windows Server.
• Experience performing database administration responsibilities for Intercede or similar credential management systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Terraform and/or Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust clearance, with required adjudication prior to onboarding.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced experience with PKI, digital certificates, smart cards, and certificate lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting mission-critical or government environments.
• Experience with cloud security and identity and access management solutions.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, monitoring, and automated remediation.
• Experience with database administration in credentialing, authentication, or identity management environments.
• Relevant AWS, DevOps, security, or infrastructure certifications
