Description

You will manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, with a specific focus on RDS PostgreSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure database solutions within AWS.
• Lead the migration of on-premises databases to cloud-based infrastructure.
• Automate database administration tasks, including monitoring, alerting, backup, and recovery processes.
• Troubleshoot database issues and drive technical remediation to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to execute auto-scaling and cost-optimization initiatives.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or database administration.
• Deep expertise in AWS, including RDS, Aurora, DMS, EC2, S3, VPC, CloudFormation, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DocumentDB, or Oracle Database.
• Proven ability to migrate databases to the cloud using AWS services.
• Experience with Snowflake and Docker.
• Strong understanding of cloud database provisioning across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to develop backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Experience delivering technical metrics and reports to senior leadership.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with configuration management tools and scripting for automation.
