Description

You will bridge database administration and cloud infrastructure to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud-based database solutions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize database instances, clusters, and replication within cloud environments.
• Design cloud infrastructure components including virtual machines, networking, storage, and security settings.
• Develop architectures prioritizing scalability, performance, and cost optimization while ensuring data integrity.
• Automate routine database administration tasks through scripting to improve operational efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve complex database issues such as data corruption, connectivity problems, and system failures.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional experience in database administration and cloud engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud database platforms: AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, or GCP.
• Proficiency in SQL programming, query optimization, and DB/SQL performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
• Experience with database migration, integration, and disaster recovery planning.
• Strong understanding of database security concepts, encryption, and best practices.
• Ability to configure and optimize cloud networking and storage for high availability.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
