Description

You will assist senior architects in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud solutions across State of Michigan AWS and GCP environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Support the build-out of multi-cloud environments, including public, private, and hybrid models.
• Maintain and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure components and cloud workloads.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and integrate them with existing DevOps systems.
• Document architecture decisions, pipeline configurations, and deployment procedures.
• Support adherence to cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
• Knowledge of designing and developing dynamic cloud solutions in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with tooling and automation for seamless infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Solid understanding of DevOps, web services, and application programming interfaces (APIs).
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and architecture.
• Skills in containerization, Linux, and database management.
• Familiarity with on-premises technologies such as VMware, Cisco, Dell, and Nutanix.

Preferred Skills

• Foundational institutional knowledge of State of Michigan platforms, cloud architecture, security requirements, and processes.
• Experience supporting enterprise architecture reviews and solution assessments.
