Description

Lead the design, implementation, and operation of client workloads on cloud platforms.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day, 24x7x365 on-call engineering, system administration, and cloud system operations.
• Scale infrastructure to meet capacity demands and launch new applications in private and public clouds.
• Develop automation tools for builds and continuous integration using Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Build monitoring solutions and metrics using the ELK stack or Datadog to ensure service health and reliability.
• Perform software updates and address security vulnerabilities to maintain system integrity.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Windows and Linux server systems (Windows Server, CentOS, CoreOS, Ubuntu).
• 3+ years of experience in 24x7 high-availability production environments.
• 3+ years of experience with System Engineering in private or public cloud data center environments.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools including Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• In-depth understanding of TCP/IP LAN/WAN networking and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and KVM.
• Experience with hardware or software-based firewalls, load balancers, and proxy servers.
• Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell.
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate certification.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional.
• Experience with configuration management using SaltStack, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
