Description

You will engineer and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Optimize Trino query performance and troubleshoot complex execution issues.
• Design, deploy, and maintain Trino clusters running on AWS EKS.
• Implement automated testing, deployment, and rollback strategies for services.
• Develop Python automation tools and scripts to streamline operations.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

Required Skills

• 8+ years in Cloud Engineering with 3+ years in Trino production experience.
• 5+ years experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization and execution plan analysis.
• Strong Python programming for automation and tooling.
• Expertise in deployment using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience with AWS core services: EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Glue, Athena, RDS.
• Production experience with AWS EKS, including pods, deployments, services, and StatefulSets.
• Familiarity with GitOps, blue-green/canary deployments, and automated rollbacks.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and backup/recovery strategies for distributed systems.
