Description

You will optimize Google Cloud infrastructure and resolve technical deployment obstacles for engineering, sales, and customer teams. This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot root causes for customer-reported issues in GKE, Dataproc, Composer, Dataflow, and BigQuery.
• Design and implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, focusing on IaC and immutable infrastructure.
• Build tools to accelerate diagnosis and resolution of complex issues in GKE Enterprise, Serverless, and Big Data offerings.
• Ensure high availability, security, and visibility across cloud architectures while supporting production systems at scale.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Terraform.
• Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform foundational offerings: IAM, VPC, Cloud Logging, Security Controls, Storage, and Compute.
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Software development experience in an object-oriented language: Java, Go, or Python.
• Understanding of traffic flow management, including Service Mesh concepts and LTM/GTM.
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, and OTEL.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Istio for Service Mesh implementation.
• Domain knowledge in FinOps and cloud cost management.
